When Pink! released her new song “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” a couple of weeks ago I wasn’t immediately sold on it. It definitely has the Pink! sound (steady pop rock guitar riff, iambic pentameter chorus, catchy lyrics, etc.), but I suppose I had hoped for something different. I thought motherhood may have sparked something within her that would birth a new sound – something different, something daring, something I have not heard a million times on the radio.
I decided to leave it on my iPod but not place it in my favorites list. As far as I’m concerned Pink! has never released a “bad” song and although I didn’t feel it sounded “fresh” it was still a decent song to sing-a-long to in the car during the never-ending drive home every night after work.
Yesterday, I finally saw the video for “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” and now my opinion of the song has changed completely. I was blown away. This video as absolutely amazing. Although very minimalistic it is visually stunning, wonderfully romantic and a perfect visual partner to the song. I’ve watched it a million times and could watch it a million more. Appreciate it with me below.
